Phillip Burwell poured in a team-high 12 points in a come-from-behind victory in game one of the Pender High Jamboree.
The Wildcats battled back from a 15-7 halftime deficit to defeat Cape Fear Christian Academy, 32-21. Burwell lead all Wildcat scorers with five points at the halftime break. Collin Lewis added six points in the second half, Matthew McIntyre chipped in with four, and Adrian Scarborough added four of his own.
Jai McRae picked up two points on a foul, Jabari Brown pulled up for his only two points in the contest, and Graham Watkins closed out the scoring late in the second half with a layup on the fastbreak.
Millbrook returns to action at 1:30 PM when it faces Wake County foe, Knightdale.
